The purpose of massage is to help your horse move freely.
When massages are combined in a long-term maintenance program, the goal is to help your horse achieve balance and prevent injury. Equine massage sessions are held at your farm and generally last between 1 to 1.5 hours. During each session your horse is evaluated for areas of muscle tension, spasm, or “active” points that require release. Based on what the individual horse needs at the time and based upon a movement evaluation, I will use some combination of the following therapies:
- Sports massage
- Stress point therapy
- Deep tissue massage
- Myofascial release
- Energy work
Massage Session, typically lasting 1 to 1.5 hours – $75
Discounts available for multiple massages and proximity to my location. Please call Dena to inquire.
*Massage is NOT an alternative to proper medical and veterinary care. If your horse is lame please contact a veterinarian first to have the problem diagnosed.
*If you need to cancel an appointment please give 24 hours notice. I realize this is not always possible, but please give me as much notice as you can. In the event of a last minute cancellation or no show, a minimum fee of $65 is assessed.
